M101 - The Pinwheel Galaxy
This is an image of M101, also known as the Pinwheel Galaxy. It is a face-on spiral galaxy about 21 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major. It is about 170000 light in diameter with over a trillion stars, making it about twice the size of the Milky Way.
