M20 Trifid Nebula

A nice close up view of the famed M20 Trifid nebula. What makes this nebula interesting is it consists of both reflection and emission nebulae. It can be found in the Sagittarius arm above the lagoon nebula, in fact, with widefield telescopes both the trifid and lagoon can be captured in the same frame.
