NGC2467
NGC2467
Known as the Skull (and CrossBones) nebula in the constellation of Puppis at an approximate distance of 13,000 light years. The skull appearance, which I can sort of make out, is apparently created by the radiation streaming from newly formed stars, but not sure where to look for signs those other bones??

Best Skull and Cross Bones I've ever seen. Still can't "see " them in the image, never could. But a great processing nonetheless.
Thanks David. I agree with you, seeing what I would expect to see given the name is challenging. It helps to have a good imagination and squinting may help.
Amazing, this is the first time I have ever made out the Skull! Well done, Michelle
Thank you Michelle for your kind comment. It wasn't until I rotated the image that l could vaguely make it out, so I'm pleased that doing that did help. Still looking for those Crossbones though.
