The Veil Nebula
This is an image of the Veil nebula. It is a supernova remnant about 2,400 light years away in the constellation Cygnus. The source of the supernova that formed the nebula was a star about 20 times more massive than the sun that exploded between 10,000 and 20,000years ago. This image was processed in HOO narrowband.
