Vela's Veil in RGB-HOO

The Vela supernova remnant is embedded in the wider Gum Nebula. Even with the wide field of view of the AUS-2 Takahashi, not all the SNR is captured (and the enormous, diffuse Gum Nebula is barely touched).
This is a combination RGB+HOO image; although L and S exposures were available, they didn't add much, in my view.
I found it quite tricky to render the diffuse H-alpha satisfactorily -- there's just too much of it! That makes it easy to end up with a rather garish image in a combination wide-band/narrow-band composition, while pushing it down too much also suppressed the SNR.
I include straight RGB and HOO images, for comparison purposes *only* (they are both intermediate reduction stages that I happened to save, and are not fully reduced).

Looks great! To combine RGB+HOO, I guess you use some PixelMath magic (or formulas) to map them?
