A zoom into the Pleiades
A zoom into the Pleiades
A closer look into the Pleiades A deep dive into M45 aka the Pleiades, one of the most iconic stellar opjects in the northern skies. In this image, which is pure LRGB data acquired with #telescopelive, the mag. 2.87, variable double star Alcyone shows of it's powerful glory next to Merope another variable double star, which in the Greek mythology is one of the daughters of Atlas and Pleione, which married Sisyphus. A closer look at the background reveal several faint galaxies.
Data processed in #astropixelprocessor, #pixinsight, #photoshop and #lightroom. Image is based on sparse data, but even so I think I managed to get a reasonable amount of dust and nebulousity out of the data while also showing the structures.
