Join award-winning astrophotographer Damian Peach in this tutorial focused on processing an image of Jupiter. This is the go-to guide for beginners and first-timers planetary processing as it covers all the fundamental steps to enhance, color correct, derotate, beautify and refine your image of the gas giant.
Part 1:
Registax: Applying wavelets and histogram adjustments.
Repeat for other datasets.
Part 2:
WinJUPOS: Derotating processed images and compiling stacked results.
Part 3:
Photoshop: Aligning channels, adjusting hue/saturation, applying fine sharpening (using unsharp mask), and adjusting the canvas size for the final presentation.

What data set is this. The 10/4/2022 data set didn’t stack in winjupos. The Saturn stack did stack in winjupos.
I'm trying to follow along with one of the Jupiter datasets, but when I go through the WinJUPOS process the end result is really blurry (showing what appears to me to be motion blur). Clearly I must be missing some step somewhere, but after watching the video four or five times, I am not seeing it.
I love the fact that these videos are succinct and yet very detailed. Very well done.
Great tutorial looking forward to try it out on my own!
