The One-Click Contest

The One-Click Observation for the August 2022 Contest is the NGC 2516 obtained with CHI-2 in the LRGB filter set.

NGC 2516 (also known as Caldwell 96) is an open star cluster in the southern sky in the constellation Carina discovered by Abbe Lacaille in 1751-1752. It is also called Southern Beehive or the Sprinter.

To qualify for the contest, remember to tag the picture you upload with #OneClickContestAug22 and either #Expert or #Beginner (check this page to find out your skill level).

The winners of the best picture in the One-Click Contest will receive:

The Bundle Contest

The Observation Bundle for August 2022 Contest is the IC1284, obtained with CHI-1 in the LRGB filter set. It contains 12 One-Click Observations corresponding to more than 16 hours of total exposure time.

IC 1284 is an emission nebula located in the constellation Sagittarius. This deep-sky object lies very close to the Small Sagittarius Star Cloud (M24) along the plane of the Milky Way.

The winners of the best picture in the Bundle Contest will receive:
