Here below you can find the definitions of the three contests. Remember to check the rules before taking part in these contests!

The One-Click Contest

The One-Click Observation for the March 2022 Contest is NGC 104 obtained with CHI-2.

NGC 104, also known as 47 Tucanae, is a globular cluster located in the constellation Tucana. 47 Tuc can be seen with the naked eye, with an apparent magnitude of 4.1. It appears about 44 arcminutes across including its far outreaches.

To qualify for the contest, remember to tag the picture you upload with #OneClickContestMar22 and either #Expert or #Beginner (check this page to find out your skill level).

The winners of the best picture in the One-Click Contest will receive:

The Bundle Contest

The Observation Bundle for March 2022 Contest is the California Nebula (also known as NGC 1499) obtained with SPA-1 in the HSO filter set. It contains 18 One-Click Observations corresponding to almost 19 hours of total exposure time.

Note that you cannot use additional data from other telescopes!

The California Nebula is an emission nebula located in the constellation Perseus. Its name comes from its resemblance to the outline of the US State of California in long exposure photographs.

The winners of the best picture in the Bundle Contest will receive:
