RCW 61
RCW61 represents the feet of the Running Chicken Nebula (IC2948) complex. Imaging this emission nebula in narrowband really brings out the details and 3D appearance in the nebula. It is an emission nebula that is ionized by three 09 giant stars and three B-class stars. It can be found in the constellation Centaurus in the southern latitudes and is approximately 6,500 light-years away from Earth.
