Barnard 252
Barnard 252 is a dark nebula located in the constellation of Scorpius. Due to its shape it is often referred to as the Dark Dolphin Nebula. Like other dark nebulae Barnard 252 is primarily composed of cold gas and cosmic dust. The dense nature of these materials can lead to the eventual formation of new stars as regions within the cloud collapse under gravity.
