NGC 1097
NGC 1097 is a barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Fornax. The blue spiral arms seem to wrap around NGC 1097 A that it interacts with. There are 4 faint jets that extend from the galaxy. A couple lightly show up in this image, but it would require much more time to really bring them out. NGC 1097 is a Seyfert Galaxy that contains a supermassive black hole in it's core. This image contains 4 hours and 40 mins of LRGB data obtained with an Advanced Request.
