NGC 2516 The Sprinter
The beautiful NGC 2516 (also known as Caldwell 96, the Sprinter, or the Southern Beehive) is a bright, mag 3.8, open cluster located about 1300 light-years away in the southern constellation Carina.
A little bit of IFN is visible thanks to the pristine Chile sky and ASA500 f/3.8 combo, with only 2x300s of Luminance!
FOV is about 1x1 degree and scale is 0.98"/pix.

Nice & clean image Mathieu! I kept my version a little more 'hazy' (more than I usually do with open star clusters). Just wondering: did you use Starshrink (or alternative in PS) to keep the bright stars so small?
hi Jan thank you! no i did not use any star reduction process, i never use it on clusters, only sometimes on nebulae. Stars are very nice with the CHI-2 scope!
