Rosette Nebula Widefield RGB
The Rosette Nebula is a large, circular emission nebula located in the constellation Monoceros, approximately 5,200 light-years from Earth. It's also known as Caldwell 49 or NGC 2237. The nebula gets its distinctive name from its flower-like appearance, with petal-shaped clouds of gas and dust surrounding a central cluster of young stars.
