SH2-308 Dollphin Nebula ready for its closeup!
This is a beautiful nebula in an Hii region emitting primarily in Oiii and Ha. For wide field imagers it is surrounded by other Sh2 objects, but this close up brings out the subtle detail and beauty of this nebula.
The data for this image was acquired during the first half of October 2021 over several nights, I just used the night of the last acquisition for the date in the data fields below. The Ha and Oiii data set was used for the nebula, the RGB data was used for the star field around it.
