Vela SNR AUS-2
Located in the southern constellation of Vela lies the Vela SNR. Produced from a Type II supernova, which exploded 11,000-12,300 years ago, the Vela SNR is about 800 light-years from Earth and the entire nebula covers an area of approximately 8 degrees, while this FOV is around 3.6 degrees.
