August 2023 Contest Tutorial - Helix Nebula Processing Tips Using Affinity Photo
Master of Affinity Photo, James Ritson, will show you some post-stacking processing tips using Affinity photo in order to get the most out of your Helix Nebula data. One of the most important steps with post-processing involves the initial histogram stretch and colour calibration, James provides some useful tips for both of these steps along with some expert tips for going forward with selective colour adjustment.
July 2023 Contest Tutorial: M20 Super-Quick Histograms in SIRIL
The one-click contest tutorial this month will focus on the processing of M20, the Trifid nebula. Alex Curry will show you how to make quick histogram stretches using linked and unlinked auto-stretch in SIRIL, a useful tool to speed up your processing! He will also give you a couple of pointers on processing this particular target and what to look out for!

StarXTerminator Workflow
StarXTerminator is a useful plugin created by Russell Croman that, using AI, allows you to remove the stars entirely from an image. This is useful for nebula processing when you want to isolate the nebula along. James Ritson from Affinity will show you how you install and configure this plugin for Affinity Photo, and how you go about using it with non-destructible layers to better process nebulae targets in Affinity Photo.

Stacking Telescope Live Data
Affinity photo has the ability to load and stack Telescope Live data from multiple one-click observations. James will show you how using the file groups feature in the astrophotography stack tool, you can load multiple one-click observations of the same target acquired over several nights and improve your astrophotography stack. James will also cover some essential colour calibration once you have your master frames.
